I have an application where I need to shake items under vacuum. Can the Talboys Advanced 5000 Orbital Shaker be used in a high-vacuum environment?
There could be issues with the controls. There is a small air pocket behind the buttons on the front panel, and placing the unit under vacuum would remove that air and cause the buttons not to function. If you do not need very precise control, the Standard Analog 5000 would be recommended above the Advanced 5000 for such an application.
