What is the speed accuracy of the Helix 250?
The Helix 250 speed accuracy is factory calibrated to +/- 3 rpm at 25°C, no load.
What is the resolution of the speed settings?
The speed is adjustable in 1 rpm increments.
Can I use traditional screw-in clamps with the EZ-Clamp platform?
No, the EZ-Clamp™ platform only works with the magnetically attaching EZ-Clamps.
We need to set up an orbital shaker in a high vacuum environment. Can the Helix 250 be used in very low pressure conditions?
We cannot recommend use of the Helix 250 in a high vacuum environment. Neither the Helix 250 nor its components have been tested under vacuum conditions, and it may be that heat from the motor would not properly dissipate under vacuum, which could lead to the failure of the orbital shaker. Other unforeseen failures may occur as well. Long story short, neither LSN nor LabStrong can attest to its use under these conditions.
